• Every Blanton’s bottle is capped with a metal horse-and-jockey figure on the cork.

• Letter series: Since 1999 there have been eight different toppers, each marked with a letter that together spell “B-L-A-N-T-O-N:-S.” When arranged in order you’ll see the horses in progressive stages of a race — ending with the “S” showing the victory pose.

• Collector tradition: Many fans try to collect all eight toppers; Buffalo Trace even offers a service to mount completed sets on a display stave.
